All About Lake Mills

Welcome to Lake Mills!

Located between Madison and Milwaukee, Lake Mills sits on the east shore of Rock Lake. The area was first settled by Captain Joseph Keyes. He named it "Lake Mills", after building a saw mill and grist mill using power from nearby Rock Lake.

There’s always something exciting to do in Lake Mills! You’ll find a variety of great festivals including, the Fall Festival of Color. This is a great summer celebration with a carnival, live music, parade, kids activities and food. The Town & Country Days Parade with amazing floats, food and live music is a perfect kick-off to the harvest season!
